Achieving CO2 neutrality, the newly built office of TNT is the most sustainable building in Europe to date. Its design is characterized by sustainability, transparency and connectivity. The new signage system had to be in line with this approach.
Outcome
The signage system perfectly embodies its surrounding. It embraces the existing interior materials and makes clever use of elements such as natural light, colour and material in their simplest form, without being too evasive and yet outspoken. The signage reflects natural smartness: the natural light of the building determines its unique character, creating a different effect through out the day. The use of natural lighting also aids direction, which reduces costs for extra artificial lighting. The design for the windows leaves the energy and function of daylight in tact, yet provides privacy.
