Project start 2009, ongoing. Visual identity for the international yacht race La Transat AG2R LA MONDIALE.

Outcome

After creating the design for the Tour de France team sponsored by the French insurance company AG2R LA MONDIALE, Studio Dumbar was asked to develop the visual identity for the international yacht race La Transat AG2R LA MONDIALE, funded by the insurance company. This new style was launched in Paris with an extensive campaign that included 125 posters measuring up to 4 x 3 metres..

The design is a further evolution of the visual identity that Studio Dumbar created earlier this year for the French insurance company. Scintillating colours and shapes are used to create a link to the imagery of water sports. The style is based on the international maritime flags representing the alphabet: a total of 26 different symbols in the 8 colours that feature in the insurance company’s house-style. It is a surprising identity for the sports and sailing worlds: colourful, versatile and eye-catching.
