Client
Allsecur is the new direct-writer insurance company of Allianz - one of the largest financial service providers in the world.
Project
Following a Europe-wide agency competition, Allianz chose Studio Dumbar to develop the new brand. The short list included four agencies from throughout Europe.
Beginning in mid 2007, Studio Dumbar developed the online company and brand, including a totally new navigation approach and conversion strategy. Studio Dumbar also created an illustration style and Corporate Motion that has also been the basis for the online launch campaign in the Netherlands in March 2008. The roll-out to other countries is planned for 2008/2009.
Outcome
A website with an innovative fluid interaction experience in the insurance branch, which is directly connected with the identity of the brand; corporate design is transferred to Corporate Motion.
With a user-centred approach - working with personas, quantitative and qualitative user testing - the site concept was developed based on the paradox that the site should be very user friendly to a mainstream audience but also innovative in means of communication and interaction.
The new website is single page modular concept (rich internet application), that allows the user to open and close the parts he likes, without waiting for a page refresh. This means the user is not overloaded with too much information, but is given simple and clear options and the possibility to make his or her own choices. With every click the user gains more in control and is willing to move forward in his need for information or transactions.
The behaviour and movement of the website elements are an essential part of the total user experience, which was realized using AJAX technology.
